Can I filter boiling water through the Sport Berkey for making hot tea?

First, filter the water, then boil.

Hot water can break down the element and compromise efficiency, so we recommend that you first filter the source water through the Sport Berkey and then boil the filtered water for your tea. Anything other than water should not be filtered.
