I am going to be away for extended time and not using system, can I just let the filters dry out and re-prime when I return?

Yes, they can be dried out, only the Black Berkey Elements that is, and cleaned and reused at a later time.

The PF-2 fluoride filters cannot be left to dry out, they will have to be replaced if they are dried.
