SoftPro Elite 89 valve softener - Water is not soft but seems to be drawing and refilling the salt tank with little water.

Make sure the Refill rate setting is set for .02 for a Upflow model and 0.7 for well water/Downflow softpro systems.

This setting can be found under the advanced menu

Unlock the valve by holding the menu key till it beeps

Tap menu once

Scroll down so main menu is highlighted and hit set

Scroll so advanced menu is highlighted and hold set till it beeps for Upflow, ( press set to enter for downflows)
